Competition Terms and Conditions
In these terms “the Promoter” means PPI, Building 5, Chiswick Park, 566 Chiswick High Road, London, W4 5YF.
- Entrants may enter the competition by following the specific directions given in respect of each competition.
- Closing dates for entries will be as specified in the instructions for each competition. Unless otherwise stated, entries must be received by the Promoter on the closing date by the following times:
- Midnight GMT for entries by email and/or online, telephone or SMS;
- 5pm GMT for entries by post or interactive set top box.
- The Competition is open to UK residents only excepting employees and relatives of employees of the Promoter or of its respective parent, subsidiary of affiliated companies, or of any other person or entity connected with the competition.
- Persons under the age of 18 must obtain the permission of their parent or guardian before entering any competition. Proof of such permission must be provided to the Promoter on request. Additional age restrictions will be as advised in the instructions for the competition.
- Only one entry is permitted per household.
- In order to be eligible for a prize, entrants must provide personal details as requested by the Promoter and which may include name, date of birth, address, telephone number and/or email address. All personal details will be processed in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy available at www.paramountpicturesinternational.com/privacy.html
- For question and answer competitions, the winner must have answered the questions correctly and will be the first eligible entry randomly drawn after the closing date from all correct entries received. For skill based competitions, the winner will have successfully completed the required skills based task(s) and will either (a) be the person whom the Promoter judges deem in their absolute discretion to have performed such task the best or (b) have the highest interactively generated score in respect of the performance of such tasks; in each case from all entries received.
- The Promoter’s decision in respect of competition winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into in respect of any such decision. A list of competition winners can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope together with details of the specific competition to the Promoter within 30 days of the closing date of the relevant competition.
- Any costs associated with entry to a competition will be advised at the point of entry. Entrants should seek the permission of the bill payer before entering.
- The Promoter has the right to select an alternative winner if:
- a winner is ineligible to enter the competition;
- the Promoter is unable to contact a winner within 24 hours of the closing date for entries if a prize is only available for a specific date or dates;
- the winner is under 18 and his/her parent or guardian do not agree to these terms and conditions or do not wish their child to receive a prize;
- the Promoter does not receive confirmation of the winner’s address and/or parental consent within 14 days of any request;
- the Promoter does not receive from the winner all documentation required in connection with the prize within the deadline notified by the Promoter;
- a winner is unavailable on any specific date or dates notified at the time of entry.
- Winners will usually be notified by email, telephone or post within 28 days of the relevant closing date.
- Prizes are as stated and non-transferable. No cash alternatives will be offered. If, due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, Promoter is unable to provide the stated prize(s) the Promoter reserves the right to award a substitute prize. Prizes are subject to any additional terms and conditions of the manufacturer / supplier.
- Where prizes include trips, travel must take place in accordance with the specific dates and restrictions. Unless otherwise stated, trips must be taken within 12 months of the competition closing date, subject to availability and excluding public holidays. Winners are advised to obtain their own travel insurance and must hold a valid passport where necessary.
- No responsibility can be accepted by the Promoter for entries lost, delayed, misdirected, damaged or undelivered. Incomplete, inaudible and/or illegible entries will be disqualified. The Promoter is not responsible for any technical errors in communication networks, internet access or other prevention of entry to a competition.
- The Promoter is not liable for any delay or failure to perform any obligation to the winner or other entrant (and/or guests) that is caused by any circumstance beyond its reasonable control or by any act or omission of any third party.
- Except in the case of death or personal injury caused by its negligence or that of its personnel, or fraud of the Promoter or any of its personnel (for which liability shall be unlimited) the Promoter shall not be liable to any entrant, winner (and/or any guest or parent/guardian) for any loss or damage howsoever caused (whether in contract, tort (including negligence) statutory duty or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with any competition.
- By entering a competition entrants grant to the Promoter, subject to any relevant provisions of local law,:
- the right to use, reproduce and exploit any creative entry for any purpose in any media; and
- the right to use the entrants name, likeness and/or biographical information in any publicity or statement made in connection with the relevant competition.
- Entrants acknowledge that the fulfilment of any prize may be subject to execution by the entrant of an assignment of rights or further documentation in respect of any entry.
- Each entrant warrants to the Promoter that his/her entries are entirely their own work and do not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any person.
- By entering a competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Entrants may be required to provide written acknowledgement of these terms before receiving a prize. These terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of England and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.
